About a week before Corey and Beth’s scheduled wedding came the news that a horrible storm (Hurricane Irene) was heading directly towards Charleston.  Corey and Beth had to decide three days before the wedding whether or not to call it off.  Fortunately, Irene took a turn East and the wedding continued on as scheduled.  It was a beautiful and colorful wedding planned by Lizz Akerman at Southern Protocol www.southernprotocol.com with some of my favorite vendors- Stems www.charlestonstems.com, Leslie Moore www.mooremakeup.com, Hunter at www.updocharleston.com, Lauren at Wildflour Bakery www.wildflourpastry.com, Josh Silverman www.facebook.com/silvermansound and the talented Plantation Singers www.plantationsingers.com.  Also, it took place in the historic French Hugenot Chuch www.frenchchurch.org with a reception at the William Aiken House www.patpropllc.com. So glad Irene stayed away and we got to celebrate a beautiful day with Corey and Beth!  Congrats!

In one of the funnier coincidences of the year, I photographed two Ashley and Erics and both of the Erics were dentists! The first Ashley is a friend of mine and her wedding included some of my favorite things- flawless event planning and design by Lizz at Southern Protocol, gorgeous flowers by Stems, stunning scenery at the William Aiken House and Permanent Vacation one of the best bands in Charleston!  Eric proposed with her ring in an oyster and I loved that he had it for me to photograph the rings in.  This truly was a joyful celebration from start to finish.  Congrats Ashley and Eric!

On Sunday May 15 Ashley married Chris at the beautiful William Aiken House www.patpropllc.com.  The pinks and greys that Ashley chose for the William Aiken were so vibrant and perfect.  Sara at Southern Protocol www.southernprotocol.com planned another magnificent event.   The details were so special and unique (check out the well wishes on the tree!)  Whitney at Branch www.branchdesignstudio.com had amazing flowers to complete the pink and grey color scheme.  Pamela Lesch www.makeupartistcharleston.com and Special Events Hair and Makeup www.specialeventshairandmakeup.com were on site for makeup and hair.  Ashley was gorgeous!  Emily captured that great aerial shot of the ceremony.  Richard from www.charlestoncoach.com was there to ride them away into the night.  This was a great day- Congrats to Ashley and Chris!

Now that she is officially a Mrs., (Congrats Christina and Eddie!!) I can finally post one of my favorite bridal sessions. On February 19th at the William Aiken House www.patpropllc.com, Alison married Matt in a ceremony in front of the Carriage House.  It was another divine Southern Protocol www.southernprotocol.com event planned by Lizz.  The flowers were by Anne at Stems www.charlestonstems.com.  With the exquisite flowers and decor- both these ladies always make my job so easy.  Invitations and logo designed by Scotti Cline Designs- so cohesive and pretty www.scotticlinedesigns.com.  Alison and Matt did a first glance before the ceremony which was so sweet.  Uncle Funkal is one of my favorite bands and they rocked it!  I loved this wedding

Keimei and Jesse were married Friday night at 6:00pm at the William Aiken House.  Lizz and Sara at Southern Protocol www.southernprotocol.com planned a beautiful event.   Anne Bowen at Stems www.charlestonstems.com made the most vibrant flower arrangements and bouquets that just made the bold colors at the William Aiken house pop and with all the bright flowers- a little rain could not darken this day. Josh Silverman at Silverman Sound kept great tunes going and the night seemed to end too quickly.  Keimei and Jesse and their families were so sweet and in love.  It truly was a joy working with them.  A special thank you to my friend Leigh Webber www.ltwebber.com who came to help me photograph this special day.  Congratulations to Keimei and Jesse!

At 5:00 last night, Rachel and Josh were married at the William Aiken House here in Charleston.  What a beautiful day it was with Rachel and Josh!  These two and their families were so fun to work with.  Rachel is one of five siblings, and you can tell how close this family is.  It was also Rachels sister’s birthday and they surprised her with a cake during the night.  Lizz and Sara at Southern Protocol www.southernprotocol.com put on a fabulous event.  The colors, the band (Permanent Vacation again–yeah!), the food, everything was absolutely PERFECT!  The flowers were also so pretty, done by Anne at ASB flowers-www.asbflowers.com.

I think you can tell from the dance floor pictures, Permanent Vacation did a fabulous job getting everyone moving!  It was a fun night!  Cheers to Rachel and Josh!
