Blog : Engagement Portraits
On Sunday afternoon Maggie, Thomas and I walked around Charleston and enjoyed this unusually beautiful and warm November weather! I was having so much fun photographing them that I had to keep reminding myself I was working Love the fact that they started dating in high school. It is very obvious and sweet how much they care for each other. During our stroll a cellist and a violinist were playing outside the Dock Street Theatre. Maggie and Thomas had their own private concert. Here are a few from our session-
Also on Sunday I met Ashley and Chris to do their engagement session. They drove all the way down from Charlotte to do these and we walked through some of my favorite Charleston spots and some new ones too. They are so sweet together and have a good time with one another and I really wanted to capture that during our session.
Last night I met Megan and Todd on Folly Beach for their engagement session. We had the most amazing skies and light for our session. There was a family of dolphins swimming very close to the shore and you can see fins in some of the pictures! It was a beautiful night with a fun couple! Congratulations on the engagement and I will see you in October!
Today I met Jill and Chip downtown for their engagement session. They brought their dog Sport along for some pictures and I hope they bring him to the wedding too-he’s so cute The Dock Street theatre is complete and it looks so beautiful. It was so nice to be able to use the bricks and blues as backgrounds. We also headed over to the Charleston Marina (and we took some pictures in the very spot where they first met.) I can’t wait for their wedding in September!
This afternoon I met Randy and Nicole for their engagement session. Little did we know when we planned this session a couple of months ago that one of the best sporting events of the year would be on at the same time (the USA vs. Canada Hockey game!) Randy was such a good sport about it! I had a great time with them walking around Boone Hall Plantation. It is such a beautiful place and Randy and Nicole were so fun to photograph. I can not wait for the wedding in August. Here are a few from our day…
This afternoon I met Amanda and Josh at Magnolia Place Plantation here in Charleston to do their engagement portraits. Magnolia Place is so beautiful, I could spend a whole day just walking around it. Josh proposed to Amanda here and we took some pictures in that very spot. They brought their dog Marley along for a few pictures and she was so sweet. Congratulations Amanda and Josh!
Tonight I met Abby and Greg downtown for their engagement session. One of the best parts of my job is getting to explore Charleston. It seems down any street, there are at least 5 or 6 great places for a background for a picture. We started out in my favorite spot (see the bench) and then ventured down towards Waterfront Park. The wedding is only a couple of weeks away and Abby and Greg seem so relaxed and ready. I had fun walking and talking with them. See you guys soon!
