One would think there is nothing that could ruin an engagement session more than a threat of severe weather but luckily, the rain went around Charleston and all we got was the most beautiful light. My favorites from our session were down at the beach.

So as I was setting up lights the other day in my studio, my kids were there with me. I looked over at them and realized how quickly they have grown. Also, how long it had been since taking their pictures.. they sat for a few pics and made for a happy Mom!

Lindsey’s Lowndes Grove Bridal Portrait

Lindsey recently married Brandon (pics to follow soon.) Now that she is a married woman and Brandon has seen her in her gorgeous dress I can share a few from her Bridal Portrait. Makeup done by the uber-talented Pamela Lesch www.makeupartistcharleston.com and flowers were done by Stems www.charlestonstems.com. Lindsey made one of the most gorgeous brides ever, and with Lowndes Grove as a backdrop, I was in photographer heaven. Congrats to Lindsey and Brandon!

Kat & Cedar are Married!

As much as I love photographing weddings in Charleston, it is fun to do destination weddings too! Kat and Cedar were married down in beautiful Cancun, Mexico and I was thrilled to photograph it. Mexico has the most vibrant colors, including the sparkling blue ocean. I loved all the personal touches, including the hand painted maracas, and the cake topper. Kat and Cedar even had a mariachi band come to the reception. The weekend was full of fun and laughs and I was honored to document it. Congrats to Kat and Cedar!

Now that she is officially a MRS I can share a few from our bridal portrait session. These were taken at the lovely Legare Waring House www.legarewaringhouse.com/home.html. It might not look it from the pics, but there was some severe weather going on outside. Luckily, we had the gorgeous home to work within.

Emily & Nick are Engaged!

Well, actually they are married now- but we did the engagement session the day before the wedding because Charleston was a destination wedding for them. (Wedding Pics to follow soon.) Normally I would not schedule an engagement session the day before the wedding due to timing, but not with Emily and Nick. They were calm, stress-free and so great to work with. Since the wedding was taking place at the William Aiken House www.patpropllc.com we got to take advantage of the beautiful house and surrounding areas for our session. Those awesome shoes were a gift to Emily from Nick-loved them!! Congrats Emily and Nick!

Morgan & Chris are Married!

Morgan and Chris are the type of people that you feel like you have known forever. They had me cracking up all day. Their wedding was beautifully designed by Luke Wilson www.lukesevents.com. Middleton Place www.middletonplace.org was the perfect backdrop for this sweet southern wedding. Morgan and Chris had a special first dance that was a fun surprise for the guests. It started out as your traditional first dance, but with a dip, the band launched into a little Michael Jackson. At the end of the night, the bride and groom were whisked away in a black cab after a rice toss. Congrats Morgan and Chris!

Ashley & Eric are Married!

The second Ashley and Eric (I photographed two Ashley and Erics!) married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church www.facebook.com/…/Sacred-Heart…Church-Charleston-SC/ with a reception at the Wickliffe House www.wickliffehouse.com. Pamela Lesch did a beautiful job on Ashley’s makeup www.makeupartistcharleston.com. Ashley’s parents were huge Springsteen fans which played a big part of the reception and it was a such a fun evening. Congrats Ashley and Eric!
