The other day I got the opportunity to photograph some of the instructors and advanced students at Bikram Yoga Charleston www.bikramcharleston.com at their studio. These photos will be used for some merchandise, etc for the studio. I am always amazed when I see an advanced student or an instructor go into these poses. It doesn’t seem possible to get your body to bend that way! Check out these talented athletes-

Last night at Maddison Row I had the chance to meet and photograph Jorge Manuel www.JorgeManuel.com. He is here in town with his stunning wedding dresses. Jorge has a background in architecture and it is obvious when you look at his dresses that it is a major influence in his design. The dresses are impeccable and have the most beautiful lines and embellishments I have ever seen. With a slight vintage flair (love love!!) these are just so pretty and unique! Della at theweddingrow.com asked me to come and photograph the preview party and here are a few images that I took last night.

As a wedding photographer, I carry a lot of heavy gear. One can imagine what carrying all that weight attached to your neck can do to your back.. I was having major back problems and then found Bikram Yoga. Bikram Yoga www.bikramcharleston.com has completely changed my life and has gotten rid of all my back issues altogether.. I am a huge, huge fan of it. On January 8, 2011 Bikram Charleston opened a downtown location- yay! I was so excited when David- the owner of the studio asked me to come and photograph the opening. The studio is beautiful with it’s exposed brick walls and tons of natural light. It was a pleasure to photograph this wonderful studio. Here are some of my favorites from the opening-

Lizz at Southern Protocol www.southernprotocol.com planned the most beautiful wedding and she asked me to photograph the details yesterday at Lowndes Grove www.patpropllc.com. The flowers were done Anne Bowen at Stems www.charlestonstems.com and they were marvelous. Anne had Magnolia trees as centerpieces and the best part about them is that the bride and groom can plant them in their yard! The details were stunning, when Lizz and Anne get together, you know it is going to be a GORGEOUS event.

One of my best friends has been diabetic ever since I met her in seventh grade. She has always hated the fact that there are no cute bags designed to carry all the medical supplies she needs until now. Carolyn has started www.sugarmedicalsupply.com to make life a little sweeter for diabetics. I photographed her bags and they are super cute! Here are a few of them. Please see her website by for more information.

Last night, I was lucky enough to attend a beautiful event. Anytime Anne from STEMS www.charlestonstems.com , Cynthia from Canape www.thecanape.com and Lizz at Southern Protocol www.southernprotocol.com get together to plan something, you know it will be spectacular. Last night’s Cynthia Rowley Bridesmaid Launch Party at STEMS did not disappoint! The food, the flowers, the dresses, everything was so pretty and fun to take in. The event was sponsored by Charleston Weddings Magazine. I also got to see my friend Leigh Webber of Leigh Webber Photography www.ltwebber.com. I am proud to call these wonderful women my friends and fellow female entrepeneurs. Lizz asked me to come and document the event for her and I was honored to do so. These dresses and shoes can be found here in Charleston at Bella Bridesmaid.

Susie and Jon were married Friday evening at 6:00 pm at the Gazebo at the Battery. A reception followed at Poogan’s Porch. Susie and Jon wanted a small, initimate and sweet wedding and did a wonderful job planning it, because that is exactly what they got! We had some time to stroll around and take some pictures around Charleston- which I loved. Jon does the Ghost tours around town and he had all the insider tips on where to go. I also learned some really cool history about some of my favorite locations. Susie had daisies put in her bouquet (just like her mother’s) and she and Jon used her Grandparent’s rings. It was very touching to see all the special details she and Jon had included in their day. Congratulations to Susie and Jon!

Today Lizz at Southern Protocol www.southernprotocol.com asked me to come and photograph some of the details of a wedding she had planned. Whenever Lizz gets together with Anne Bowen at Stems www.charlestonstems.com magic happens. How cool are those flower arrangements with the green apples? I love the Creek Club, it is so pretty and Lizz and the two Saras made it look so beautiful today.

Ann at Sugah Cakes www.sugahcakes.com asked me to photograph some of her new custom cookies. They are not only beautiful, but also delicious (of course I had to try them out to get a true vision of what I was photographing!) Ann tells me that these are fully customizable- they can monogram, match bow colors to invitations, etc. and they are perfect for baby showers, weddings, rehearsal dinners and parties. Prices start at $1.95/cookie. Now that’s what I am talking about! (864) 585.3228

Kim and Ron at Beyond Expectations Catering www.beyondxpectations.com asked me to come and photograph some of their food and displays tonight. Beyond Expectations always does an impressive job. Ron’s displays are like nothing I have ever seen before. The fish are carved out of melon and look so realistic, with gills and all. Kim told me it takes hours for Ron to carve the cheese fortress and I believe it. The food was so pretty, it was hard to imagine anyone eating it.
