At Hope and Jon’s wedding at Lowndes Grove Plantation www.patpropllc.com the first thing you noticed was the gorgeous pink color! This wedding was planned by the talented Luke Wilson www.lukesevents.com with floral design by Sara York Grimshaw www.sygdesigns.com and a classic and elegant cake by Jim Smeal www.weddingcakesbyjimsmeal.com. This wedding is just full of color and beautiful details. The ceremony had the most fantastic light and I loved the flower petals down the aisle. Congrats to Hope and Jon!

A big congratulations, to Teresa and Ashley who were married recently at the beautiful Ocean Course at Kiawah (pics to follow soon.) We met a few weeks before the wedding for her bridal portrait. She is just gorgeous and we were blessed with a little fall weather for the portrait. It was one of those sessions where I feel so lucky to be able to photograph in such a magnificent city with some amazing people like Teresa.

End of the summer has been busy with Engagement sessions- which has been great! The engagement session is a great time for me to get to know the bride and groom better before the wedding. I enjoyed walking around Charleston and chatting with Cara and Blaine (and their cute dog). Cara and Blaine brought a change of clothes and the vibrant colors were great for Charleston’s beautiful backdrops. Here are some from our session-

Caroline is a wedding and event planner that I have been lucky enough to work with, so when she contacted me about photographing her wedding I was psyched! We met a few weeks ago to do the engagement session. They are both so laid back and Boone Hall Plantation was the perfect spot to end our session. They brought their dog Ollie that they joke is more like a person, and he really is. Here are some from our session. Can’t wait for the wedding in April!

Usually when I see Rebecca, it is at a wedding while we are both working, (she works at Stems www.charlestonstems.com)so it was a total joy to be able to photograph her wedding and bridal portrait along side my friend Leigh webber www.ltwebber.com. It was so great being able to collaborate on this together. Hollie Wood www.holliewoodstyle.com came to style and brought the most amazing props and ideas with her. Here are some of my shots from the bridal (stay tuned for wedding pics.) Be sure to check out Leigh’s site for some of hers too!

On June 25th Kate married Pete at St Mary’s Church www.catholic-doc.org/saintmarys/ with a reception following at the William Aiken House www.patpropllc.com. Another beautiful event planned by Luke Wilson www.lukesevents.com and flowers done by Katie at Timeless Designs www.timelessdesignsonline.com. The lovely invitations were done by Studio R http://studiordesign.wordpress.com/. Kate and Pete might have had one of the best bands I have ever seen- www.completedesire.com they came stocked with props and they had these awesome outfits that matched the draping on the tent. Kate is famous for her Proud Mary and I could see why- it was unforgettably amazing! Congrats to Kate and Pete!

Emily captured this beautiful detail shot of the couches in front of the pergola.

I met Amy and Jonathon for the first time a little over a year ago when I was photographing their friend’s wedding (Erika and Michael.) Erika and Michael were awesome to photograph, so fun and relaxed and after spending the morning with Amy and Jonathon, I realized they are too! We met early in the morning to avoid the heat and it had rained the night before and left a really great puddle on the street that we took advantage of for a few pictures. I am so so excited for their wedding in March. Congrats to Amy and Jonathon!
