Baby Laine
November 29th, 2008
Also over the holiday, I got a chance to photograph my friend Millan’s newborn Laine. I love photographing newborns, I think they are so sweet and look beautiful in black and white.

Over the holiday, I was so happy to see my old friend Millan and her three adorable kids up in Spartanburg. Here are some of my favorites from our session.
Tonight at 6:30 Pamela and Don were married at SeaCoast Church in Mount Pleasant. The reception was held at Carolina’s Restaurant in Charleston. This couple is so sweet and so in love, Lizz and I were thrilled to be a part of their day. The picture of the hands was a four generation shot that Pamela’s mother requested, I thought it was a great idea. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Anderson!
Liam and Bishop are so cute! I loved their plaid pants. They have a tree right near their home that some say is as large if not larger than Angel Oak. We took a few near that tree because it was so cool. The boys and I had a great time playing around it.
Today I photographed Maternity portraits in the studio. She is about 7 and a half months along and expecting a baby boy. I loved that her husband was able to come and we could have him in the portraits as well.
Every year, I take a studio portrait of my children for our annual Christmas Card. It always makes me laugh to see some of the outtakes from the shoot. I love catching the interaction between my two children, I think it will be great to look back on these when they are older. Here are some of the ones that did not make the cut but I thought were cute anyway.
What a difference a day makes in weather here in Charleston! Today at Folly Beach we were so lucky to have one of the clearest, most beautiful days for engagement photos. One of the best things about my job is meeting great people like Pamela and Don, another great thing– working barefoot in the sand!
Today at Folly Beach I photographed Sandy and her husband Pete. They were visiting Charleston for the weekend. Sandy brought Pete to the beach for what he thought was going to be a dinner cruise! Surprise! Sandy had arranged for me to come and surprise him with a photography session! He was a super good sport about it, and I really enjoyed meeting and photographing both of them.
Today I photographed Lola’s two year old portraits. How cute is she? At first, she did not want to smile for us, but we made her laugh and got some of the cutest pictures of her.
Tonight I photographed the 4th Annual Pethelper’s fundraiser The FurBall. It was held at the Charleston Marriott on Lockwood Drive. Tom Crawford and Victoria Hansen from ABC were the emcees. This event raised a lot of money for a wonderful cause and I was honored to be a part of it. Here are a few images from tonight that I took. The was also a guest of honor, his name is Cosmo, and yes, he is available for adoption!
