On Saturday September 25th at 5:30 pm, Jill and Chip were married at First Scots Presbyterian Church www.first-scots.org in Charleston, SC. A reception followed at The Carolina Yacht Club www.carolinayachtclub.com. Jill and Chip and their wedding party were awesome! We walked from the Church to the reception and had so many wonderful spots to stop and take pictures. At one point during our walk, four motorcycles approached and Jill and her bridesmaids got them to stop and take a couple of pictures with us. It was my first time to get a bride on a Harley! Right on! Booty Call www.bootycallband.com played amazing songs that even had me tapping my foot a bit. The evening ended with sparklers on to an awaiting boat to whisk them off into the night. Cheers to Jill and Chip!

One of my best friends has been diabetic ever since I met her in seventh grade. She has always hated the fact that there are no cute bags designed to carry all the medical supplies she needs until now. Carolyn has started www.sugarmedicalsupply.com to make life a little sweeter for diabetics. I photographed her bags and they are super cute! Here are a few of them. Please see her website by for more information.

Amy and Jason were married on Folly Beach on Friday September 17 at 6:00pm. Amy and Jason are good friends so I have been looking forward to this wedding for awhile. This couple shares a love for surfing- and that is actually how they met! The wedding was planned by Heather Kohn at www.surfergirlchicweddings.com and it was infused with Amy’s vintage style and their love for the beach. Amy had the most amazing blue Manolo Blahniks- wow! Her hair was inspired by Mad men and she even had ruby red lipstick for the true forties look. We got to sneak under the pier for a few shots before heading to the reception where they had a shrimp boil and a surf board cake. It really felt just perfect and right. I was happy to be there to share in their day. Congratulations to Amy and Jason!

On Saturday at 6:00pm at a private farm in Monck’s Corner Alicia and Greg were married. The ceremony overlooked a beautiful pond and it was just pretty. The flowers were done by OK Florist who did a wonderful job at making the Fall colors come alive. Alicia and Greg were surrounded by their closest family and friends and it was truly a special day. Congratulations to Alicia and Greg!

On Saturday September 11th, the 2nd annual Leslie McCravy 5k to benefit Pethelper’s was held at Folly Beach. There were so many people that came out to run and donate their time and money to this wonderful cause. I photographed this event last year and it was a treat for me to be able to do it again this year. Here are some photos from this special event-

Ok, let me explain the title of the post. Katie and James were married January 30, 2010. Even though their wedding was beautiful, it was a very cold and rainy day. Katie really wanted some pictures with James the day of the wedding outside in some very Charleston spots. That was unfortunately not possible the day of the wedding, so we decided to meet up again when it got a little warmer. So we met last week to take some pictures downtown in some of my favorite spots. Katie wore her dress and James wore his tux. It was relaxed and fun, we even found a car that just had a “just married” sign in the back. The couple was happy to let us borrow it for a few shots. Congrats again to Katie and James!

On Saturday Angela and Craig were married on the beach here in Charleston. I loved this wedding. There were so many special sweet things that Angela and Craig had planned. Angela had a piece of her mother’s wedding dress in her bouquet (something old) and her new nephew’s pin attached in her dress (something blue.) Craig had a request for a remake of a ratpack picture around the pool table with his boys- loved it! Angela and Craig and their families just might be the nicest people you will ever meet. They had help planning this wonderful day from Missie McCoy who did a great job and was so helpful and fun to work with. Angela and Craig love brownies and did not want a typical cake so they contacted Gail at Cakes Imagined www.cakesimagined.com who made a fabulous brownie cake. The flowers were done by Distinctive Events www.distinctive-events.com Alan at Complete Music www.mycharlestondj.com kept the crowd dancing under the stars. What a night, I was sad to see it end! Congratulations Angela and Craig!

A great shot of the bridesmaids looking out at the arriving guests-

On Friday September 3rd at 6:00 pm under the most beautiful trees at Lowndes Grove Plantation www.patpropllc.com Amy married Jon. The whole event was planned by Lizz at Southern Protocol www.southernprotocol.com. Lizz planned a phenomenal event that was not only colorful and stunning, but she also made sure to have stayed true to Amy and Jon’s style- was which all about vintage awesomeness. Anne at Stems www.charlestonstems.com had some amazing floral creations, that just rocked. “Duke” Jon’s Ford truck even made an appearance and was so fun for pictures. The Band Uncle Funkal played some great songs under a beautiful sky. It was a spectacular night that ended with a sparkler serenade. Just amazing! Congrats to Amy and Jon.

Angela and Craig have been planning their wedding here in Charleston all the way from Indiana. When we were planning the engagement portraits we thought it might be a good idea to do them right before the wedding. I am so glad we did. Angela and Craig are so sweet together and in love, I could not believe how calm and relaxed they were- and the wedding is Saturday! I can’t wait!

Last night I met Liz and Lee for their engagement session downtown at the Battery. I loved her pink dress, it looked great with all the greens that are around the Battery right now. It was a little toasty out there, but we still had fun walking around. Congratulations to Liz and Lee! See you in April for the wedding
