Last Sunday, at 5:00 pm Jodie and Brad were married at The Creek Club at I’On. The colors were chocolate brown, blue, and hot pink. Jodie and Brad had a “first glance” before the ceremony- see below. Also below, there is a picture of the two lizards on the dock that were doing some sort of dance (mating ritual perhaps?). We felt bad interrupting, but the sun was setting
. Brad was part of the UNC drumline and it is tradition to do a drumline for them. It might have been one of the coolest things that I have seen at a reception. Congrats to Jodie and Brad!

Over the weekend I met Brittany and Ben downtown to do their engagement session. As we were walking around Charleston early that morning, I could not help but think just how lucky it is to be in Charleston as a photographer. Around every corner there is something beautiful to use in the background of a picture. I was also lucky to have such a sweet couple as Brittany and Ben to walk around with and to photograph! See you guys in March! I can’t wait!!

This week I met Melissa and her family at Folly Beach for a family portrait session. They were visiting from Ohio and enjoying this nice hot weather we are having. At the end of our session, I asked her boys if they would grab hands and walk away, and I was touched by how long they kept holding hands- it was so sweet! Here are a few from our session:

This past Saturday at 5:00pm Nick and Samantha were married at a private residence on Folly Beach. The ceremony was beautiful and the weather was perfect! The colors were red and navy and they really popped with Folly Beach in the background. The event was planned by April Hammack at Bittersweet Events. She and her husband Brad were a pleasure to work with! Nick and Samantha had a sparkler send-off into the night. Congratulations to Nick and Samantha!

Yesterday I met Blair and Keith and their two girls at Boone Hall for some Family portraits. Last time I saw the girls, Ann Rhett was just a baby and I could not believe how much they both had grown over the year. It was so cute watching Ellie help her little sister walk. Here are a few from our session.

Tonight I met Nate and Ashley downtown for their engagement session. Nate and Ashley drove all the way down from Charlotte to take these today, and when clouds starting rolling up, I got really nervous that we were going to have a rainy session. Fortunately, the clouds gave way to a beautiful late afternoon for us. I had a great time with you guys– see you in October for the wedding!

Michelle and Kevin were married on Saturday at 5:00pm at James Island County Park. We met Kevin dowtown with the entire bridal party where he and Michelle got a “first glance” of each other before the wedding. This was fun because we got to take some shots of the entire bridal party before the wedding in some of my favorite spots. The ceremony was held in a beautiful meadow at the park. The ceremony was officiated by one of their closest friends and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the meadow! After the ceremony, Michelle and Kevin had Blue Plantation Band playing bluegrass for the reception, and they were awesome. Lyn at Palmetto Event Services did a fantastic job planning and coordinating this wedding. Cheers to Michelle and Kevin!
