This weekend I traveled to Ohio to attend my cousin Ashley’s wedding. It was a beautiful night at the Darby House in Galloway, Ohio and it was so good to see my cousins! Her colors were black, white and red. I was not the photographer for the night, but I brought my camera along and here are a few images that I took. The last one is of my sister Kristen and my cousin Margie.

Tonight I met Abby and Greg downtown for their engagement session. One of the best parts of my job is getting to explore Charleston. It seems down any street, there are at least 5 or 6 great places for a background for a picture. We started out in my favorite spot (see the bench) and then ventured down towards Waterfront Park. The wedding is only a couple of weeks away and Abby and Greg seem so relaxed and ready. I had fun walking and talking with them. See you guys soon!

Today I photographed Leigh and Derrick’s Engagement session. Leigh and Derrick are high school sweethearts. This is another wedding that I am really looking forward to. Today we started downtown and then headed for the beach. Leigh and Derrick drove down from North Carolina so I was worried about the 60% chance of rain. We were lucky that the forecast did not come true. What a great day. We hit some of my favorite spots, and found some new ones too. Congratulations to Leigh and Derrick!

Tonight I met Erika and Michael downtown Charleston to photograph their engagement session. I was early, so I walked around a little and I discovered this really cute bench that had a “reserved” sign next to it. I thought it was perfect for them. I liked so many from our session, I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites. I can’t wait for their wedding in March!

This morning I photographed Caroline and Grady in their backyard. We took a few of Caroline in a dress that her Grandmother had her portrait taken in. Caroline and Grady are so sweet together, I had a good time exploring the yard with them and looking for treasure.

Today I also photographed Southern Protocol, a company that does events, image consulting, modern day manners and cotillion. Lizz Akerman is the owner of Southern Protocol. She wanted head-shots and a group shot of the company for her website and press materials- www.southernprotocol.com. We took these in my studio.

Today I photographed Harris in his Baptism outfit at Hampton Park. What a cutie! I think he had a good time climbing trees and looking at the ducks. Hampton Park is a great place.

Yesterday at Riverland Terrace park we had a birthday party for my son. We had arranged for the firestation across the street to speak with the kids and show them the trucks and some of their gear. A very special thank you to Engine Company #3 for being so wonderful to the kids. They even put on the full outfit to show them, and it was not a cool day here in Charleston! It was 95 degrees!
Here are a few from the party:
