Last night at 6:00 at the Second Presbyterian Church Andrea and Bill were married. A reception followed at the Wickliffe House. Yesterday had only a 30% chance of rain so we were all suprised to hear the thunder right after the ceremony. Andrea’s mother said it is an old wive’s tale that if there is a thunder storm on your wedding day you will have a lot of children! Andrea is one of 5 daughters and she was the last sister to get married – so you can imagine this was a fun party! Angela with Captured Moments from Atlanta did the videography www.cmvproductions.com (she had also done the other four sister’s weddings). It was fun to work with her and to hear she had also lived in Portland, Oregon. Luke Wilson Special Events did the day of planning and the flowers www.lukesevents.com. Luke and his team were great -they had to do some quick adjustments for the weather, but rolled with it and ran a smooth event. Everything looked beautiful! Austin with Gourmet Bay www.gourmetbay.net catered the event, and the food looked so delicious. The brie grilled cheese sandwiches were a huge hit.
I can not say enough great things about this family, it was a pleasure working with each and every one of them, I did not want the night to end! Cheers to Andi and Bill!

Last night Andi and Bill were married. I wanted to wait until the wedding to share any from her bridal portrait. She made one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen! A special thank you to Katie at the Wickliffe House for letting us use her upstairs and for sharing her office loveseat with us. Here are a few from her bridal portrait session. I will share some from the wedding next!

Yesterday I photographed Anjie and her family while they were here on vacation from Maryland and Florida. Folly beach is my favorite place for family sessions at the beach. There are so many great backdrops- the rocks, the dunes, the water, the lighthouse. Here are a few from our session.

I had so much fun taking Ellie and Anne Rhett’s portraits today at their house. My favorite was Ellie’s tutu and red cowboy boots. Here are some from our session.

We spent this weekend down at Folly Beach with family. I love Folly beach, we enjoyed the slower pace and had a hard time leaving. We even found a great new restaurant – Taco Boy.
The cousins got along well and they loved playing together. Here are a few of the cousins (and one with Pop) from the weekend.

This week I photographed Evie, Macgregor and Jet on Folly Beach. I love photographing kids at the beach. Usually I recommend doing the more posed pictures first, because usually after about 20 minutes, they are heading towards the sand and water, like this little guy was! Here are a few from the day that I liked.

Last night in Myrtle Beach, my husband and I went to see his cousin play with his band “Zitro”. They played at Greg Norman’s Australian Grill. Scott and Jamin played some current hits, older faves and even some of Jamin’s own songs. The name of the band is Jamin’s last name backwards. I brought my camera along and took a few of them playing. If you are in Myrtle Beach and you want to hear a great band–go see them play!

Today I was asked by Caroline at Duvall www.eventsbyduvall.com to photograph some of the details at the Charles Wadsworth Retirement Party. As always, Duvall did an impeccable job with the entire event. Everything looked beautiful. The event was held at the President of the College of Charleston’s House on Glebe Street. My friend Leigh www.ltwebber.com was there photographing the event for Spoleto. It was good to see her. Here is a peek at some of the beautiful details from the day.

Yesterday at 8:00 am at Folly Beach Pet Helper’s held the first annual Leslie McCravy Memorial 5k Run/walk. The event was a huge success! There were almost 400 people that came out to support Pet Helper’s in Leslie’s honor. Her parents were there and were moved by everyone’s love and support. There was also a little guy there who was left in a box on Folly Road and he needs a home. He is one of the cutest little puppies I have ever seen. If you are looking to adopt, please go and check out Pet Helper’s new shelter on Folly Road.
